character history - - - [/blockquote] [/blockquote]Evelyn Marie Spears was originally born in Clifton, New Jersey to her parents Mary and Stewart Spears. She was born the only child and would stay that way forever. Not saying her parents never tried but her mother wasn't able to have any more kids. By the time her mother got older doctors claimed it was too dangerous. So Evie stayed they only child. Her parents help onto her tight and never wanted to let her go. To her luck, she wasn't rebellious or a 'devil child'. She was raised well, with good manners and respect. Being the only kid, Evie always felt that she needed to fit a perfect, yet innocent role. She wanted to make her parents proud. Which is what she did all threw grammar school. Evie got good grades, learned to play instruments (piano being her favorite).
Evie was happy with her life. It was everything that she and her parents hoped for. Until she got into high school. Not to say that she went crazy though. More of like she got herself mixed up with the wrong crowd and by crowd I mean a boy. Toby was everything a girl could ask for. He was cute, sweet, smart, and an all around great guy. Though he had one tiny problem, his commitment issues. Evie and Toby's relationship was on an off all threw out high school. One minute she was everything he needed and the next he was brining some other girl to a party. At the time, Evie wasn't so great at speaking her mind. She let Toby run all over her so many times while breaking her heart at the same time.
Finally graduation came around and things seemed to be working out. They had been steady for a good five months. Then came her graduation party. Toby never showed up and rumored had it that he was with another girl. That was the final straw. Evie had enough and when he did happen to show his face a weak later claiming that he made a mistake, she put her foot. She didn't want to cry anymore. So when she turned nineteen Evelyn packed her bags and moved to New York where she hoped to pursue her dreams and to get away from her past. It's been a year now. Thing have been going great. New job, new life, and best of all...no Toby. Right?

Libby stared at her computer screen blankly for a few minutes, thinking to herself. She actually hadn't talked to Wes in awhile and she honestly had no idea why. They were really good friends and got along great but for some reason Lib had chosen to stay away for a little while. Maybe it was her hesitance to the things that he did. Of course, she herself came from a bad past. There was no doubt that she hadn't partied or done drugs. That was the reason why she had been in rehab for six months. To free her from those habits. Moving to Australia was to get away from her past so she could start over with a clean slate but for the past two months Libby found herself slipping. Maybe six months was too short. Was she mentally ready to move on from her past and give up the things she use to do? From the looks of it, she wasn't sure how much longer she would be able to resist. It wasn't Wesley's fault of course. He didn't know about her past and he wasn't actually forcing her to do anything. This was a battle between herself and whether she'd be able to say no.
Whatever the situation, Libby knew in the end it would always be her choice. Not anyone else's. It was hard for her to stay away from Wes. He was a great friend and by all means alluring. She would hate to push someone away at this point in time when she was completely knew to area and had very few friends. For the past few days Lib found herself staring at her phone, tempted to call Wes but afraid but when he appeared online today there was no hiding. She had to give in. She felt bad for lying but she had no intention of telling him the truth. Lib wanted to live her old life. Maybe not so much with the drugs but with the anticipation of living every moment to the fullest, no matter the consequences and that's exactly how she would live by for the day. No matter the outcome Libby was going to be with Wes tonight and just have fun.
Finally she turned her gaze from the screen and peered over at the clock on her night stand. She had quite a bit of time before Wes would pick her up. Sure he had saved her from bored later tonight but what about now? If it was one peeve that bothered her the most it was sitting around a doing nothing. She had enough energy for three people and didn't want to waste it so she decided to make some pottery. Many good thing came out of rehab for her and pottery would probably be her favorite outcome. Since Lib was an antsy person, the doctors found it easier to place her in the art room when the had free time and it worked. There was never a dull moment when she had art to occupy her. Guess she is just a handsy person. Libby pulled on an old t-shirt and walked into the spare bedroom of her house. She had no roommates so she used the empty room for her art. When she walked into the room the smell of clay and paint stung the inside of her nose. It was the smell of relief. Art was a way she expressed herself.
After two hours of wet clay between her fingers she decided that the pot she had been making was as good as it would ever be and would let it dry over night. Then she would attempt to paint it but for now time was ticking by and she didn't have much longer until Wes would show. Lib knew how much he hated to wait for her so being ready when he arrived was her goal. She closed the door to her art room and headed for the bathroom where she turned on the showed. She jumped in, making sure to scrub off all the clay and lathered with some scented body wash so she didn't smell like plaster. Fifteen minutes later she was finished and walked into her bedroom. When Wesley claimed she would be changing clothes twenty times, he wasn't lying. So instead she sat in front of he closet for fifteen more minutes until she gave up and picked out something. After pulling on her clothes she glanced over at the clock again. She had a half hour before he was be there. Just enough time for her to straighten her hair.
It always took her a long time to fix up her hair, especially straighten it with all the natural curls she had. Time seemed to fly by fast because once she walked back into her room she heard a knock on the door and a familiar voice yelling for her. "I'm coming!" She yelled back threw her window as quickly grabbed her flats and purse then ran out of her room to the front door. "How could you call me fat?" Libby exclaimed as she swung open the door. She wrapped her slender arms around his neck, giving him a tight hug. "I owed you that." She smiled warmly as she shut her front door and locked it.
