On April 20, 1990, 4:20 pm, Kayla Christine Jackson was born in New Providence, New Jersey. She grew up normally, upper middle class. She has an older brother named Carson, and since almost day one, Kayla's been the apparent golden child. Her parents wanted a girl when Carson was born, and they've never really hid that fact. They're always extra careful around her. When she was seven, her parents had another boy named Oliver. They already had Kayla, so they didn't mind, but they didn't exactly have the same love for her brothers as they did for her. When she was younger, she had that natural teen idea that she was one of the coolest people in the world. She started drinking, smoking, and sneaking out her freshman year.

Her little brother Oliver died when she was fourteen, and she still misses him like crazy, and blames herself because she had snuck out the night that they got into the accident. Her need to protect everyone she was close with came after the accident. Her little brother didn’t make it, but her parents came out with minor injuries. Oliver never wore his seat belt unless Kayla made him. Her parents thought she was just staying the night with one of her friends and forgot to mention it when she snuck out that night, because she was the girl of the family. She was born on 4/20 4:20, so inevitably, she's smoked pot before, but she doesn't do it anymore. She moved to New York when she graduated high school and she started modeling, which was her dream. Occasionally she borrows money from her parents when she's in between shoots, but she usually gets by just fine.
