simba stevens--oh yes, that simba stevens--was born into just the kind of family you would expect. her mother, juliette stevens (nee aguillard), was a popular french socialite and part-time mother. she was the best of the best, and had been since even before she married sasha stevens. sasha was a russian ambassador who was working in france when he met--and consequently fell in love with--juliette aguillard. understandably smitten (she was, after all, the most coveted woman in paris at the time), he almost instantly invited her to run away with him. what did paris really have to offer a couple of bombshells like them anyway? sticking around in one place too long would set them off.. and no one wanted a nuclear war. flighty and whimsical juliette--of course--agreed without delay. they set off for new york. of course, the couple fell in love with the city, but they weren't meant to settle down. even after they were married and had their first--and only--child, simba, the couple just couldn't keep their feet on the ground. simba was the suri cruise of her time, being photographed and put in tabloids for her fabulous taste in baby fashion~ from the time she was in those fabulous designer diapers.

at the age of twelve, simba was sent away to a boarding school in france, where she began studying stanislavsky's acting method. despite her cold exterior, simba was--from a young age--very in touch with her emotions, allowing her to easily step through the method's metaphorical "door". shortly after, she was cast in goodnight, saigon, a heartwrenching movie based on billy joel's influential song. that was her big debut. as a young woman, simba was her generation's dakota fanning. you just couldn't get away from her. when she hit seventeen, however, simba dropped off the map for a while. she decided that she was getting too caught up in the frivolity of the young socialite's hollywood world, and wasn't focused enough on her art. she disappeared into the most secluded areas of south america, spending her time studying the earth, the living things upon it, and in turn, herself. once she hit nineteen, however, simba ventured back out into the world of american pop culture. initially rejecting a number of job offers on the basis that they weren't truly artistic films, simba is currently on the edge about a small indie film hopefully being submitted to the sundance film festival. her intense dislike for her potential co-star, however, is keeping simba teetering on that ledge for now.
