She had done it. Victoria Anne Conrad had finally stuck with a guy for seven months. It was an amazing feat to those that knew her, and even to herself, and maybe the people that had just heard about her. When she first moved to New York City, The Big Apple, the city of her dreams she had what one would call a revolving door of boys. She didn't want to get tied down, and she didn't want to miss out on anything so she would stay with a guy for no more than a week before moving on to the next. Some people actually found her accent quaint, and charming. None of the guys she dated really had staying power until she met Ace. He was bartending at a club she went to one night when she was on a date. It didn't take long for her to fall for such an adorable boy that made her laugh more than anyone she had ever known. It also didn't take long for her to dump the guy she had been with. These events led her up to today, their seventh month.
Victoria raced around her apartment trying to get everything ready. Her already obessively cleaned apartment could have sparkled. She had pulled the curtain back so her bed wasn't closed off from the rest of the house and she had pulled her bedside table out so she could put food on it. Today was going to be a bed day, and there was no leaving said bed unless absolutely neccessary. There was captain crunch, milk, orange juice and water. Along with a cake that she had baked especially for Ace. Victoria didn't like cake, she shouldn't even eat it, but she knew that he did so she figured she'd try her best. She had decorated it and writted his name in icing across the top. He could think it was totally dorky if he wanted too, but she wanted today to be special. It wasn't like it was their year or anything, but still, seven months was amazing for her.
After she made sure everything was set up Victoria looked down and what she was wearing. Too frumpy. Yes, it was a bed day, but that didn't mean she had to wear ugly pajamas. She slipped out of her shorts and tank top and slipped into a silk nightgown and her slipper boots, they were the comfiest things she owned she would wear them all the time if she could, but they would get ruined. She finished putting her clothes in the dirty laudry when she heard a knock at the door, it could only be Ace, she didn't usually have random visters. “Coming!” She called as she raced to the door, almost breaking her neck with the slipper floor and slippery boots. She figured that's why they were called 'slipp'ers
