Gavin was your typical bad boy, but normally bad boys would know when it was time to stop and when it got too dangerous, not Gavin he thrived on that danger and loved it, craved it, wanted it. He was one of the many Harrison children that lived in New York and loved it like anyone else did; it was his scene, the parties, the sex, the drinking, the smoking. Gavin was known to be the bad boy of the family and he lived up to his name, his family thought he was getting better when he got a job at the garage, but that is what he told him he actually got a job for this under cover company that sent people out to kill people that the police either couldn’t find or because their crimes were so bad they were sentenced to death, without them even knowing about it. Gavin actually enjoyed his job as he felt as though he was doing something for the community, his father killed his mother and he wanted to get horrible people that like off this planet, so he could feel safe alongside everyone else. His family would never accept his ways though, that was why he didn’t tell anyone, it was hard to explain the cuts, bruises and broken bones when he came home from a hard day of killing, but that was why they called him a loner, as he would lock himself away for a period of time to heal before coming out again.
After spending a good hour on AIM to Celmarie, he decided it might be clever to actually get ready to see his son for the first time and see Cel for the first time in a long time. It was hard letting her go those many years ago but he had to, his credit and respect had left him when he worked at that high school and he couldn’t be around it anymore, so that was when he moved. Soon after moving he got his job as an assassin with a top secret company, and the money was a great plus. He knew that he was going to be a bad father even if he did stick around with Cel, he was a loner and he was always going to be that way, it was hard for him to love someone in the beginning but then leave them was harder, even though they were only ever meant to be a casual fling. Cel still looked as beautiful as ever even though he had only just seen her AIM picture and not to real person yet, she looked a lot older and that was good, but he wondered what his son looked like. Did he look like him or her? or maybe neither of them, and maybe he got his looks from one of Gavin or Cel’s parents. He stood from his laptop and shut the top down before groaning a little and moved to his bed, reaching over to the draw he picked out his wallet and keys, then walking to the wardrobe he opened it and grabbed a jacket before leaving the bedroom.
Heading down the steps of his house he left the front door and walked towards his old black impala getting inside and warming the engine he headed to Celmarie’s place. Getting outside her home he looked over at the front door, the front living room lights were on, and one upstairs, which he guessed would be the bedroom. He sighed before turning the car off but continued to see there for a moment, just watching the shadows move in the window. Then he plucked up the courage to get out of the car and locked it behind him, heading to the door he took a breathe before knocking on the door, having a small four year old boy answer though was not what he was hoping for. He smiled at the little man and he just watched him in his small werewolf suit. Hey bud, your mum home? he asked before the child ran off and got his mother.

when is came to her favorite holiday, halloween would have to be the worse one all year around. she didn't like the fact ethan could get a sugar high, though he was usually good about it despite being four years old. celmarie was a lucky girl to most mothers, her kid was polite, and very mature though it was what he got from being raised by a single mother. at first celmarie found it hard knowing that the father left her at the age of eighteen because she was his student. she was young and in love, and well that was her down fall. she told people that she was never gonna be that girl, but she was that girl. it was for a guy that went to school, but more was a teacher teaching her gym class. the relationship started with a small crush knowing in class all of the girl would drool over watching his muscles move, and she couldn't say she didn't but kept focused on passing. she wasn't good at sports, or gym and well from their they began to talk more and more in classes. then eventually it was a full blown out relationship, though they were found out and he lost his job. cel thought it would make them stronger and they could be stronger, and well it was going good for a while but when she told her about being pregnant he ran to the door. she was heartbroken, and she wasn't going to say she wasn't.
it hurt to watch the man you love head for the hills because of you being pregnant. not long after that, her perfect life that she had pictured just went down hill. it began with her parents basically disowning her to live on her own with a newborn. she didn't know how to take care of a kid, specially a baby. some of the teachers that knew her helped her, though she eventually went to school and got off her feet. it wasn't long until she could run her family on her own without the help of anyone minus a babysitter. though dating a whole new challenge to her in many ways. a lot of her female friends volunteered to watch ethan, but she just couldn't date someone. she always compared the guy to gavin, by the way he walked or what he drove. she remembered little things, and well she knew that it wasn't ever going to be the same specially for ethan who wouldn't have a father in his life. which in celmarie's mind might be a good thing knowing that he wouldn't be as much as an asshole to everyone in the world specially women.
logging off the computer she pushed the chair under the computer before hearing a pair of feet come busting into the computer room. "mommy, hurray we are gonna miss the chocolates." pulling on the sleeve of his mother's sweater young four year old ethan was eagerer as always to go out and get some candy. they lived in a somewhat wealthy neighborhood which meant they got more candy than the average people. but cel still liked having someone to walk with just to talk to, though she never expect that person tonight to be gavin. sure their was a party he could be going to but he was at least making an effort, though she was scared to be all honest that it was just a game to him. she wanted to play hard to get, but she couldn't. he just had a way with her that she didn't even understand nor did she want to. ethan began to drag the woman to the stairs before letting go and running up the stairs to the main bedroom known as the master bedroom. celmarie breathed in before climbing the stairs and reaching the top. she moved to her bedroom before clicking on the lights to see her son already had his outfit on the bed ready to be changed into. she grabbed a jacket before sitting on the bed waiting for her son to get dressed into his costume, he knew that a friend of hers was coming. he always assumed it was one of the girls but she didn't know exactly what to tell him. before she could zip up the costume her son was out of the door after hearing a knock on the door. breathing out she was nervous about see him again knowing she wasn't sure how she'd feel. would see get those same butterflies in her stomach or new ones because it's been four years. walking down the stairs her wolfman came to the bottom looking at her, "it's for you." he went into the kitchen, and you could hear the candy being looked threw that was for the trick or treaters. "no ethan, later maybe." she reached the bottom of the stairs before brushing a strand of hair out of her face before turning the corner to see the man in the door way. yup, the butterflies were back in her stomach like that had been four years ago.
"hi...." she didn't know what else to say to him besides those words. ethan was already by her side holding a candy bag ready to go and get some candy. " go ahead, we'll be behind you." ethan ran out the door sliding past gavin before cel bit her bottom lip and move to the door shutting it behind her before turning to gavin. "you haven't changed one bit.." ethan wasn't far in front of them but far enough away so that she could talk to him about things.

Halloween was the time of the year were everyone could be a kid for a little while, to express themselves and have some fun, it was like Christmas and Birthdays but it didn’t mean so much, there was not a symbolic thing behind it, it was just another event where people could have fun. Gavin of course knew he was a father that was one of the reasons he ran away in the beginning, but he didn’t know how to be a father, to take his own child to soccer practise, to be able to hold his child when they were just born, to gain that connection with them that no one else will ever get. It hurt him when he thought about everything he missed with Ethan, those small moments that could have made him so happy. He met Celmarie when she was junior in high school, he was a gym class teacher and he was very good at his job, but when she walked into the room he was stunned, he had never been attracted to any of the other students. But she was different. She just seemed to act different, older and wiser. He kept her after class when she was failing the class, asking her what was going on, she was capable of being so much but she never went for it. She didn’t really talk for the hour he kept her, but at the end he got her to agree to taking extra classes with him to get her marks up to scratch.
Then when they had a couple of after school classes together they were spending half of the time making out and just fooling around with each other, they enjoyed their company with each other and strangely Cel started to pass her class so it didn’t look odd, but when she was getting good marks, the after school classes had to stop to stop suspicion going around, but that didn’t stop them from seeing each other, late nights going out on the town was very fun but even the moments they stayed at his house and just being a couple, they never dated because they weren’t allowed too, but they considered each other their lover because they were, there was love there that no one was able to see but them. When she told him she was pregnant it was the same day he found out there was a job waiting for him in New York, so to him this could just not be happening. So that was when he ran, he ran fast and hard, his small apartment was stripped off evening within half a day. He left that evening and never heard from Celmarie again. He was scared when he left, he spent three hours parked outside her family home before he left, watching her pass her bedroom window, holding her stomach ever so softly, and he wanted to go inside so bad, he wanted to hold her and tell her it was going to be ok, but he was scared, scared he was not going to be the person she wanted him to be.
Gavin had to call up Kayleigh at the last minute to tell her that he would not be attending her party tonight, he explained what was going on and he had to try and be there for his son, for the girl he once loved. She understood and he was happy she allowed him to go and do what he needed to do. As he stood at the door, he placed his hands into his pockets and waited, when he was greeted by the small wolf man he smiled, he looked so much like his mother but he could see small parts of himself when he was a child in him. He watched as the boy ran off, and then his mother came to the door and he smiled a little. She was still as beautiful as ever, but the years have done her well, she looked older and more mature, he was amazed about how much came back to him in the few moments he stood there looking at her. She said ‘hi’ to him and he just nodded before watching the son of their love squeeze past him and head down the road. He grinned and looked over his shoulder to watch him before hearing Celmarie say that he hadn’t changed in these years. He looked back to her and then moved away from the door to allow her out. Then as they begun walking down the pave he watched the small child bounce from each side of the road. You’ve changed a lot, but that is a good thing.
